Nanny Piggins series

The Nanny Piggins series is about the world’s greatest flying pig.

The woman was not a woman. She was a pig. A common, pink farm pig. The type bacon came from.

“Good evening, I am Nanny Piggins,” said Nanny Piggins the pig. When stingy Mr. Green planted a Nanny Wanted sign on his front lawn for his three children, he had no idea his ad would be answered by a pig. Yes, a pig. A fabulously sassy and impeccably dressed pig as a matter of fact! With her insatiable urge to eat chocolate (and feed chocolate to everyone she loves), her high-flying spirit, and her unending sense of fun, Nanny Piggins takes Derrick, Samantha, and Michael on a year of surprises, yummy treats, and adventures they’ll never forget. Paired with Dan Santat’s charming illustrations, comedian and children’s TV writer R.A. Spratt’s wildly funny debut novel will have adults and kids alike laughing and rooting for the feisty porcine nanny and her three lovable human charges.

The Person Controller is a hilarious book by David Baddiel, on a pair of twins that finds a controller that controls people, they found that it was the key to their wildest dreams.

I think that The Person Controller is a interesting story to just sit there for a while and enjoy.

Book of the week: The Giver

I am sorry that I didn’t post the book of the week the last few weeks.

The Book of the Week this week is The Giver by Lois Lowry here’s what it’s about

  • The Setting
The setting of “The Giver” is a world in which there exists no pain, no war, and very little emotion. In this utopia, everything is as pleasant as possible. Birthmothers give birth to “newchildren” and never see them again. These newchildren then move to the Nurturing Center, then to a family unit, and then together with the other “Childless Adults.” When they become too old or infirm, they are “released” – although they don’t realize it, those who are released are actually

  • Jonas
At the beginning of the novel, Jonas is a young boy who is nervous about the Ceremony of Twelve, when he will receive the Assignment, or job, that he will spend the rest of his life doing. Jonas often perceives flashes of “change” when he looks at an object; he does not realize that he is perceiving color, which disappeared once the community went over to “Sameness.” At the ceremony, Jonas is chosen to become the new Receiver, a prestigious Assignment that consists of keeping all of the old memories of the community from before the time of the “Sameness.”
  • The Giver
The Giver transmits memories to Jonas – memories of fear and joy, of happiness and despair. These memories are filled with colors and emotion, both of which are lacking in Jonas’s world. Jonas becomes very close with the Giver and frustrated with the world that he lives in.

Almost Waiting

Wait Jenny wait is almost what I hear every single day. Wait Jenny wait you can’t eat beofore you go into the pool. Wait Jenny wait you have to finish your homework before going to play with Jewel. Wait Jenny wait you can’t open you letter yet. I get waits all the time. I almost like the word “waiting” And I amost like doing it, in fact I think that I am best at waiting. When you wait you have lots of time to think about your life and people that you don’t like. So every time I wait I write a list of things that I don’t like about a person or what I do like. By now I have a collection full of lists and notes about people. So waiting comes in my life alot. Once when I was waiting in line for a hot-coco someone came in and cuted the line. The guy was huge so I was scared to say anything. But then everyone in the line cuted infrount of me, I almost said something but then I noticed how mad they looked so I decideced to let them pass. I end up not getting a Hot-coco at last. So I learned  improtant life lesson: no matter what try to be polit and never let something bad happen to you infrount of your eyes.

Book of the Week:The BFG

Daily Prompt: Careful

via Daily Prompt: Careful

CAREFUL there’s a pond, CAREFUL there’s a rock, CAREFUL there’s a dog…

Why does it always have to be the word careful before something bad happens to me???

Is the word careful cursing me???

Anyway I’m Jessie and I’m yellow. Well I decided that I’ed go to Laga the fixer an ask her to “uncurse” me. On the way to Laga’s I heard someone shout “CARFUL your shoes untie” and thats when I fell.

Fresh red blood dripped down my legs and arms. I decided to go back home and wash it up. I was nearly there when I hearld someone shout “CARFUL THERES A BOLL UNDER YOUR FEET!!!!!” And I triped again hit my head on a rock and fainted.

The minute I woke up I saw was blue and a little bit of white flaoting around. I slowly got up and looked around I was in a mall center looking place there was a big fountain with sea blue water, And lots of stores exept that there was no one around.

The next thing I heard was crashing noise and a little girl came out.”CARFUL!!!!!!!” I heard the little girl screaming. And some thing noked me of my feet and I went flying.

BANG!!!!!! I landed butt first on the ground.”You shold be Okay” the little girl ran over and said.”Tell that to my butt!!” I replied. “Anyway I’m Lissy” the little girl (Lissy) said. “I’m Jessie”I told her. “our names kind of rhymes” Lissy said. ” So what is this place??” I asked. “I’m actually not sure,” Lissy anwsered “I woke up here a few months ago and I’ed been here since!”

Lissy and I chatted and chatted. Then Lissy said that there’s a candy store here and we can get candy with out paying since there’s no shopkepper.

We walked to the candy store and ate ALOT of candy. “Where do you sleep??” I asked Lissy. “Right there” she said pointing at a Hotel. We decided to go into the hotel and rest.

On the way there something zaped and me and Lissy went flying…

We landed and we were in my house, my mom was there and she said as she hugs me really tight”Thanks god your Okay!!!”

“I found out about the word careful, and it looks like you and Lissy has the same problem.”
